  • A Day in the Life:

    The following tasks are included in the duties of a Production Assembly Worker:

    • Plumbling assembly
    • Woodwork assembly
    • Industrial spray painting
    • Equipment operating
    • Working with fiber glass and acrylic

  • Responsibilities:

    • Perform product assembly and manufacturing tasks along the assembly line
    • Complete daily production allocations, as assigned by Production Team Leaders
    • Proactively follow quality standards, procedures, and work instructions

  • Experience & Qualifications:

  • Experience & Qualifications:

    • Excellent customer service skills and a passion for creating amazing customer experiences

  • Responsibility:

    • Keep records of all communication with dealer, suppliers, etc. and update appropriate programs to ensure accurate record keeping
    • Handle all technical phone calls from the dealer network and work with dealers to solve problems
    • Troubleshoot and solve our dealer’s technical problems on the phone, by email and by live chat
    • Talk to, and solve problems for retail hot tub customers by phone, email, and live chat
    • Fax or scan and email diagrams / other technical information to technical personnel as required
    • Facilitate H/O’s requests for acquisition of technical data
    • Conduct dealer technical training seminars
    • Provide dealers with repair authorization tickets for problems that cannot be repaired in the field
    • Facilitate repairs on any tub that comes in on a repair authorization ticket
    • Repair any components that dealers are unable to repair in the field
    • Repair product that is received damaged or is damaged internally, if and when possible
    • Repair tubs in the field that dealers are unable to repair (to eliminate the need for returning tubs)
    • Have the ability to travel when necessary for service on site
    • Perform repairs in urgent situations to appease customers in difficult situations
    • Maintain cleanliness and good order at your workstation on a daily basis
    • Stay current and up to date on the latest innovations and developments in hot tubs and related products
    • Use the online company CRM system to maintain correct store contact information
    • Recommend product improvements to H/O as problems are noticed in the field
    • Receive and fulfil guarantee claims and related documentation.
    • Process Guarantee Service Claims Authorization and authorize defective parts’ returns and usable goods’ returns as necessary
    • Have good follow up skills both retail and wholesale to ensure 100% customer satisfaction
    • Attend meetings, calls and join-me online meetings as required by the Sales, Service & Solutions Team

  • Responsibility:

    • Reviewing timesheets and other pay documents for accuracy, completeness, and authorization in accordance with company policies
    • Coordinating payroll activities to ensure all pay data is compiled, processed, and reconciled in an accurate and timely manner to meet all payroll deadlines
    • Executing payroll transactions utilizing ADP including transmitting, processing, and generating payroll runs and creating associated journal entries
    • Explaining procedures and responding to or investigating regarding all aspects of payroll and benefits enquiries from employees, managers
    • Working collaboratively with the human resources team on the administration of new hires and terminations; preparing and maintaining employee master files; processing employee status changes, calculating termination pay, and preparing ROEs

    • Reconciling all statutory requirements, deductions, and other payroll-related accounts
    • Calculating, deducting, reconciling, and remitting amounts ordered to be withheld through garnishment, third party demand, or support deduction orders
    • Reporting and remitting assessable earnings and premiums to the various Workers’ Compensation Boards in Canada
    • Providing compensation information to various insurance bodies
    • Union reporting and remittances
    • Processing year-end adjustments to meet CRA deadlines (T-4’s)
    • Prepare and distribute various payroll reports
    • Manage all self-billing of benefits for associates on Leave

  • Duties & Responsibility:

    • Develop, Implement, and maintain compliance to Beachcomber’s Quality Management Systems.
    • Lead Quality Team responsible for implementing quality improvement projects.
    • Review individual customer complaints and trends to implement systems to prevent recurrence.
    • Manage the quality performance of critical parts suppliers.
    • Prepare quality analysis and reports for Senior Management and other Managers/Supervisors
    • Develop and implement quality control/test methodologies and standards
    • Develop and implement statistical process control methods.
    • Investigate nonconforming products, failures and causes and resolve corrective action reports with the Issue Management Reporting System (IMR).
    • Lead production and quality staff in the integration of quality management into daily operations.
    • Prepare quality presentations and present to the Dealers/Development Personnel at special functions as required.
    • Train production staff in new and existing quality programs.
    • Special Projects as assigned.

  • Desired Skills & Qualifications:

    • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance in a busy manufacturing plant.
    • ISO 9001/9002 Quality Standard Certification and Implementation is an asset.
    • Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma, Quality Certifications or related courses, and equivalent work experience.
    • Strong knowledge of Quality Management principles, standards, and management of a total Quality Management System
    • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to lead, develop, and support a team
    • Ability to develop, plan and execute quality improvement initiatives, providing regular updates and actions to a group of internal stakeholders.
    • Strong teamwork skills, work collaboratively with operations, production, and engineering teams.
    • Technical aptitude with an ability to multi-task and organize a large amount of complex data and production information.
    • Ability to work closely and communicate effectively with unionized hourly production staff.
    • Additional language skills considered an asset (Punjabi, Vietnamese, Cantonese).
    • American Society for Quality (ASQ) certification considered as an asset.

PAYROLL COORDINATOR

Reporting to the Supervisor of Human Resources the HR Payroll and Benefits Coordinator will manage a full range of Payroll and Benefit functions. You will be responsible for processing the bi-weekly Canadian hourly union and non-union, and salaried employees in a multi-unit organization in a timely and accurate manner.

  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 3-5 years Payroll Administration experience in a unionized environment (Canadian Payrolls)
    • Knowledge of payroll legislation for Canada
    • Thorough knowledge and experience with ADP payroll and time and attendance systems
    • PCP designation or working towards the designation
    • Experienced in dealing with employee issues in a professional and discrete manner, responding to employee questions and concerns regarding payroll
    • Strong computer skills with sound experience of MS office i.e. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
    • Strong interpersonal skills for effective interaction with employees
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong organization and time management skills
    • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks
    • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
    • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
    • Accounting knowledge considered an asset
  • RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

    • Reviewing time sheets and other pay documents for accuracy, completeness, and authorization in accordance with company policies
    • Coordinating payroll activities to ensure all pay data is compiled, processed, and reconciled in an accurate and timely manner to meet all payroll deadlines
    • Executing payroll transactions utilizing ADP including transmitting, processing, and generating payroll runs and creating associated journal entries
    • Explaining procedures and responding to or investigating regarding all aspects of payroll and benefits enquiries from employees, managers
    • Working collaboratively with the human resources team on the administration of new hires and terminations; preparing and maintaining employee master files; processing employee status changes, calculating termination pay, and preparing record of employment (ROEs)
    • Enrolling and terminating employees on the various benefit plans
    • Reconciling all statutory requirements, deductions, and other payroll related accounts
    • Calculating, deducting, reconciling, and remitting amounts ordered to be withheld through garnishment, third party demand, or support deduction orders
    • Reporting and remitting assessable earnings and premiums to the various Workers’ Compensation Boards in Canada
    • Providing compensation information to various insurance bodies
    • Union reporting and remittances
    • Processing year-end adjustments to meet CRA deadlines (T-4’s)
    • Prepare and distribute various payroll reports
    • Manage all self-billing of benefits for associates on Leave
    • Balancing and reconciling Benefits through the payroll program
    • Processing all benefit premium billing statements
    • Reconcile benefits-related G/L accounts monthly
    • Administration of the Beachcomber benefit plan within the payroll system
    • Assist in other HR functions as required
    • Other duties/projects as assigned

    The Shipper/Receiver at Beachcomber Hot Tubs is responsible for all goods received at and shipped from the Distribution Centre Warehouse in Oakville.

  • REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

    • High school graduation or equivalent.
    • Excellent written and spoken English.
    • A valid Forklift Operator’s Certificate
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a warehouse environment.
    • Basic knowledge of computers and ability to learn new programs quickly.
    • Physically able to lift large and heavy boxes – up to 25 kilos
    • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

    • Loading and off-loading all shipments and store product in designated locations.
    • Record shipments in computerized materials tracking software.
    • Cross check invoices and waybills for accuracy and follow-up on any errors.
    • Pick, pack and prepare product to be shipped out and call carriers for pick-up.
    • Complete documentation for transportation companies’ bills of landing, customs documentation and dangerous goods waybills when required.
    • Maintain cleanliness and good order in the warehouse on a daily basis.
    • Ensure that forklift machines are working properly and follow all maintenance schedules.
  • PREFERENCE TO THOSE WITH:

    • Certificate for Transportation of Dangerous Goods.
    • Customs documentation knowledge

    Pay: $17 to $ 22 per hour
