What Makes A Beachcomber Hot Tub Energy Efficient?

What Makes A Beachcomber Hot Tub Energy Efficient?

At Beachcomber Hot Tubs, we always look at our products as both lifestyle and lifetime investments. Lifestyle, as they offer incredible benefits for your body and mind, while bringing you closer to the people you love, and lifetime as they are built to last generations of use.

A constant point of concern for prospective buyers and new owners is the cost of operation, particularly when the winter weather creeps in with its permanent chill. At Beachcomber, we are proud to say that our hot tubs are among the most energy efficient in the world! Energy optimization, and its resulting savings to you as an owner, is built into the construction of every hot tub we produce.

Below are a few of the ways choosing Beachcomber as your hot tub manufacturer of choice  is the best way to keep you out of the red in your energy bill, and keep you completely satisfied, warm, and relaxed, all year-long.

Important Factors in Hot Tub Energy Efficiency

You can’t talk about energy efficiency in a hot tub and not start with insulation. Fully insulating the interior cavity of the hot tub continues to be the most important element in minimizing heat loss and maximizing efficiency - and it’s something that Beachcomber Hot Tubs continues to lead the industry in.

With our Hybrid4™ technology, Beachcomber took things to the next level by taking the interior equipment and moving it outside the hot tub cavity and under the step. This has allowed us to insulate all four walls of the hot tub, blocking moisture and heat from escaping the shell on all sides. The insulation we use is a specially formulated foam product that is made right in our British Columbia factory and expands to fill the entire space within the hot tub. It’s something you’ll see across Beachcomber models, and across price points. Along with saving you money on energy costs, the insulation allows the interior equipment to run at a consistent temperature, which ensures long equipment life, and maintains your desired water temperature.

Another big differentiator to look for when shopping for a hot tub is the cover. An old or ill-fitting hot tub cover will allow heat to readily escape from the surface of your hot tub when it’s not in use. This will cause your hot tub to work in overdrive in maintaining the set temperature. At Beachcomber, we manufacture our HEATSHIELD™ hot tub covers with up to 45% more insulating power than standard covers thanks to our air-tight heat-sealed design,  and reinforced construction.

Then, you need to look at the motors and pumps. Available on all Hybrid4â„¢ models, our HUSH PUMPâ„¢ system heats and cleans water 24/7, with a fraction of the energy output and almost zero noise. Our engineering team has also developed an effective radiant ambient heating system within the construction of our hot tubs, successfully recycling the heat from inside the hot tub to maintain set temperature levels.

Finally, the foundation also plays an important role in the efficiency of your hot tub purchase. Look for a model that has a sturdy foundation, like the PERMA-SEAL™ in all Beachcomber models, that stops the internal insulated foam cavity from absorbing moisture and heat.

More than 41 years after we began constructing our hot tubs to exceed the industry in energy efficiency, Beachcomber continues to carry on our tradition of technological excellence. Learn more on the construction of our models by contacting your local dealership.
